McNeil Mansion Museum

The McNeil Mansion Museum, built in 1905 by Benjamin McNeil, this house was originally located 3 miles south on Highway 97 at 105 Mile. The house was originally built as the 105 Mile Roadhouse to accommodate the miners traveling along the gold rush trail, 7 years after being operated as a roadhouse it was converted to a ranch house and a family home when Benjamin and Laura married. The 105 Mile Road House was donated to the 108 Heritage Site to be used as the Museum in 1979; it was in very poor shape and needed a lot of work to bring it back to life.
